Whats Going in West of 3070 Rotary Way IN Commercial Zoned Corner Dundas/Walkers Mattamy Cornerstone

I called the City of Burlington and talked with the planner Melissa Roberts 905-338-7600-7788 and asked about what is going into the commercial zoned space to the West of 3070. Please confirm anything I write with the City as plans change and the city planner will give you current information.  Things I learned are:
There will be  4 buildings.
The road for 3050/3060/3070 Rotary will NOT go through to the plaza but there may be pedestrian access. There will be 2 entrances from Dundas and 1 from Walkers.
1 of the buildings (has 2 sections) B and D will be directly to the West of 3070 and run 23 Meters from the lot line. They will be either 36 or 39 feet high. There will be a 6 meter landscape buffer and a 17 meter space for a driveway and parking for the stores and then the building. There will be a 1.8M high wood fence between 3070 and the commercial space. Closest to Dundas (section B) will be an LCBO and the one further North (section D) has not been leased yet.
1 of the buildings (has 2 sections) A and C will run along the North side of the property. The section A (closest to Walkers) will be a shoppers drug mart with a total height 36ft and the one further East  (section c)will be stores on the first floor and offices on the second floor for a total height of 39 feet.
The other 2 buildings will be near the corner of Dundas and Walkers and will be building E at the corner and a bank in building F along Walkers.
This plan will go for draft approval in the next month with construction starting in the fall? ( Just a guess)

Great Blue Heron Visits 3060 and 3070 Rotary Way Burlington-Mattamy Cornerstone

Last Saturday was wickedly windy to the point that I did not do an open house in 411 as I thought my signs would blow away. While I was in 411 overlooking the pond I had the thrill of seeing a Great Blue Heron in the pond near the clearing near Rotary. This is the first time I have seen this magnificent bird here and I was glad I had my binoculars.  I see lots of ducks and geese and red winged black birds normally but this was special. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Blue_Heron

Ironstone Condominiums in Burlington

As I have clients looking for Condos I dropped into the Ironstone Sales Office on Appleby Line and Upper Middle www.ironstonecondominiums.com. They have a nice sales centre with full model of the development. The development has commercial/retail on the main level and I would say  better shared facilities. The size of the new project is similar to Cornerstone Condos. I entered the remaining units on a spreadsheet. The remaining units vary from 580 to 1140 sq ft and the prices vary from 318 to 351 $/sq ft. The average price is $329/sq ft. Remember in my earlier blog  http://altonvillage.wordpress.com/2009/11/14/condo-details-for-east-building/ I stated that the average opening day price at Cornerstone was 236 $/sq ft.  I have the details so if you are interested give me a call. Branthaven Towns on July 11

Branthaven in their Bravo area in Alton Village had a very successful opening 2 weeks ago where they sold out 25 ft and 30 ft semis in 1 day. Some of these have come back and are being scooped up as they come available. They are opening up townhomes July 11. It will be interesting if there is another sell out. I wonder how many Mattamy condo owners are upgrading to a semi/town before they take occupancy.
