I am getting enquiries about the mix of condos in Mattamys Cornerstone Condos in Alton Village. I went back to the sales literature from the first day and created a spreadsheet detailing the units. There are 112 condos in the Mattamy Cornerstone East Building. I believe that the west building is a mirror image of the East building. If it is then there are a total of 224 condos in the two buildings. The average square footage is 766 sq ft and the average price was $236/sq ft on that cold Feb morning. This list mentions the # of bedrooms, den, level, and exposure. For prospective renters and purchasers this may be useful information. If there are any errors please let me know.

A 2Bed/2Bath condo in the first building just sold today with a list price of 239,000. It had hardwood flooring, granite, stainless and other upgrades. Wasn’t the original price for one of these around 175,000 before upgrades?
Apparently there were 60 interested buyers for the property, definitely a market to sell!
Frank Was this a sale by Mattamy? Seeing as we do not own the units yet and will not own them until after the occupancy period I don’t believe we have anything to sell as a resale. If the builder permits buyers to assign their original deal to another buyer for a price then the “resale” process is possible. As buyers start to take occupancy the matter of rentals, assignments (if possible) and eventually resales will be closely monitored by all. I think the 2 bed/2 bath units varied between 808 and 990 sq ft so it would be interesting to know the model/floor.
It was in the Home and Land brochure. I emailed the real estate agents and they said they closed today. I don’t know what they ended up getting for it but with 60 people interested in it I would think it at least got list price. Here is the link for the property..
